While today’s float planes conjure up images of a luxuriously lazy Saturday morning with a coffee on a pier, early float planes had no such allure. The workhorses of history, our float planes are presented in a special “Bush Gallery” — they are rare and historically significant aircraft that were flown hard. Some were retrieved from the bottoms of lakes or the sides of mountains and have been painstakingly restored to showroom condition.  Others are on display in their retirement splendor – dented, patched and pranged, souvenirs of a career in Canada’s relentless terrain.

Join us for an interesting look at the Bush Gallery — a tribute to the float planes that made history, as well as the men and women who flew them.  Guided Tours take place each Sunday at 2 pm and are free with general admission.
